A little about me

I was 24 years old when I ran into a big road block. This was the moment in my life when I realized that my life was not going how I wanted. I started having panic attacks, I was depressed, my hormones were out of balance and I could not handle my stress levels.

Stress was consuming my whole existence because I didn’t know how to deal with it and consequently I didn’t take care of myself.

I asked myself, “Is this what adult life would always be like?

This was my wake up call. I needed to find balance because I knew it would get worse if I continued on this path and it wasn’t the life I wanted to live.

FINDING THE RIGHT TOOLS

After understanding that the way I was living was not the right way for me, the biggest realization was…

“I don’t have the tools to get better on my own! Where do I even start?”

At school we are taught many things like math, geography, history… which are helpful but they do not teach us practical topics like emotional intelligence, self-awareness, self-care, among others. Topics that would have been very helpful for me at that moment.

YOGA

Thankfully, I stumbled into a yoga class that changed me forever.

I found in my very first class a door to a deeper connection to myself and everything around me.

Over thirteen years of daily yoga practice, multiple trips to India to study with my yoga guru has changed my perspective in life, how I see and treat myself and consequently how I treat others.

Yoga has reshaped my life and guided me towards accepting myself and building a healthier and happier life.

ADDING HEALTH COACHING TO THE MIX

This search for my own wellness led me to health coaching and sharing what I have learned with others.

It has taught me to be more compassionate, patient and also to keep learning about ways of slowly but steadily make changes to improve my overall health and quality of life and consequently the lives of my clients.

That is the message I like to share with my clients. The empowering message of self reliance and perseverance. We can change our lives with the right tools and a lending hand.

With much love,
Patty
