My journey in yoga

I started my yoga practice in 2006 under the Iyengar linage. Later I found Ashtanga yoga and studied in the Miami Life Center Ashtanga Intensive.
I praise the idea that the Ashtanga yoga method helps with acquiring and maintaining a healthy and balanced lifestyle.
I’ve studied and assisted Tim Feldmann, Kino McGregor, Patrick Nolan and other knowledgeable instructors during my Two Year Apprenticeship Program at Miami Life Center.
I traveled to Mysore, India  multiple times since 2015 to study under the guidance of Yoga Master Sharath Jois at KPJAYI, the head of the Ashtanga lineage.  
I currently run the mysore program at Mysore Panama in Panama City, Panama; teach workshops and private yoga classes.

Ashtanga Yoga

Ashtanga yoga is a system that originates from the Yoga Korunta, an ancient text. Its knowledge was passed down to Sri T. Krishnamacharya and became world known thanks to Sri K. Pattabhi Jois. Currently the lineage is guided by his grandson Sharath R. Jois.
In Sanskrit, “Astau” means eight and “anga” means limb. Ashtanga is the eight limbed yoga system, eight progressive stages that lead to self-realization and are described in the yoga sutras of Patañjali in depth.
The eight limbs are: Yamas, Niyamas, Asana, Pranayama, Pratyahara, Dharana, Dhyana and Samadhi
Parampara: This system is passed down from teacher to student and the personal experience (Pratyaksa) is one of the most important aspects of this practice.
